Privacy Policy
How AdsViewer collects, uses, and protects your data — across our website, the AdsViewer platform, and the ad accounts you connect to it.
01 Who we are
AdsViewer Inc., a Delaware corporation (United States) ("AdsViewer", "we", "us", or "our"), operates the adsviewer.io website and the AdsViewer platform. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), AdsViewer Inc. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
For advertising data we process on your behalf from connected ad accounts, you (or your organization) remain the controller of that data and we act as a processor, handling it only to provide the Service to you.
02 What this policy covers
This policy applies to the "Service": the adsviewer.io marketing website, the AdsViewer web application, the ad-platform integrations you connect, and related features such as AI-powered analysis, reporting, and signals. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
03 Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored hashed), or — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile information (name, email address, profile picture) that Google shares with us. Google sign-in is currently the only third-party login we support.
Connected ad-platform data
The core of the Service is analyzing advertising data from accounts you choose to connect. When you authorize an integration via OAuth — such as Meta, Google Ads, Display & Video 360, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, or Snapchat — we retrieve and store campaign, ad set, ad, creative, and performance data from those accounts, along with the access tokens needed to keep the integration running. You can disconnect an integration at any time, which stops further retrieval.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Billing information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We store a reference to your Stripe customer and your subscription status; we never store full card numbers ourselves.
Usage data
We automatically collect information about how the Service is used: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of visits, and diagnostic data. Inside the application we use product analytics, which may include session recordings, to understand how features are used and to improve them.
Communications
When you contact us for support or feedback, we keep the correspondence and the details you share in it.
04 How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the Service — including syncing and analyzing the ad-account data you connect, generating reports, and operating signals and workflows.
- To manage your account — registration, authentication, and access to the features available to you.
- To process payments — managing your subscription and credits through Stripe.
- To communicate with you — service updates, security notices, and responses to your requests. We may also send you product news you can opt out of.
- To improve the Service — analyzing usage trends, debugging errors, and evaluating new features.
- To keep the Service secure — detecting, preventing, and investigating fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- For business transfers — if AdsViewer is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal data may be part of the transferred assets. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
05 AI processing
Several AdsViewer features use third-party AI models to analyze advertising data — for example creative analysis, insights, and chat. To power these features, relevant ad data (such as creatives, copy, and performance metrics) is sent to AI providers including OpenAI, Google (Gemini), and Amazon Web Services (Bedrock). We do not permit these providers to use your data to train their general-purpose models, and we only send what is needed to produce the requested analysis.
06 Service providers
We share personal data with a limited set of service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts that restrict use to the purpose we engaged them for:
- Analytics — PostHog (EU-hosted) for product analytics and session recordings, and Google Analytics on our marketing website.
- Error monitoring — Sentry (EU-hosted) for error tracking and session replay when something goes wrong.
- Visitor insights — services on our marketing website that help us identify the business identity of visiting companies for sales and marketing purposes.
- Payments — Stripe for billing and subscription management.
- AI providers — OpenAI, Google, and Amazon Web Services, as described above.
- Referral tracking — Reflio, to attribute sign-ups from referral partners.
- Email verification — Emailable, to validate email addresses at sign-up.
- Infrastructure — Amazon Web Services, where the Service and its data are hosted.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or with your consent.
07 We do not sell your personal information
AdsViewer does not sell your personal information, and has not sold personal information in the preceding twelve months. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
08 Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Essential cookies — authentication tokens and session cookies required to keep you signed in and the Service secure. The Service does not work without them.
- Preference cookies — remembering choices you make, such as UI preferences.
- Analytics cookies — measuring how the website and application are used, as described in the Service providers section.
On our marketing website, a consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set. You can also instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the Service may stop working.
09 Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy: account data for as long as your account exists, connected ad-account data for as long as the integration is active (plus a short period to support reconnection), and usage data for a shorter period unless needed for security or legal compliance. When you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymize your personal data unless we are legally required to retain it.
10 International transfers
AdsViewer Inc. is based in the United States and uses processors in the United States and the European Union. Your data may therefore be transferred to, and processed in, countries outside your own. Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors.
11 Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data where there is no good reason for us to keep processing it.
- Restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
- Port your data — receive it in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
You can exercise most of these directly in your account settings, or by contacting us at info@adsviewer.io. We may ask you to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We process personal data on the legal bases of contract performance (providing the Service), legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service), consent (where you have given it, such as non-essential cookies), and legal obligation.
12 California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you rights to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
The categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (such as name, email address, and IP address) and internet activity (such as interactions with the Service). As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@adsviewer.io; we will verify your request and respond within 45 days.
13 Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we work to protect your data and to notify you of incidents as required by law.
14 Children's privacy
The Service is built for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
15 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you by email or a prominent notice in the Service before the changes take effect. The "Last reviewed" date reflects our most recent periodic review of this policy.
